Kate Masters

Certified Baby Sleep Consultant

Paediatric nurse

I am passionate about empowering mothers to take control over sleepless nights.  I have a background in Paediatric Nursing with over 20 years experience and I love working with families towards good health and optimising their child's start in life. I have experience working with children of all ages, in the nursery, in home care and assisting babies into good sleep and feed routines.  With a foundation in nursing, I have seamlessly embraced my role as a sleep consultant sparking a newfound passion for me, as I endeavour to support families with the tools and knowledge to achieve better sleep.

My own journey into motherhood wasn't an easy one. Both my children were longed for  many years before their arrival. With love, dedication and IVF we are now so grateful to have two precious miracles.  My first daughter had such a lovely temperament and I was able to sleep shape her and get her sleeping through the night early on. My second daughter had a dairy allergy with reflux which really challenged sleep. This was such a hard time where I truly felt the pull of sleep deprivation and how it affects all aspects of your life. I managed to turn this around by teaching her to fall asleep independently with gentle methods that her sensitive temperament required.  Overcoming the challenges associated with my daughters sleep has inspired me to help other parents who are in the trenches struggling with sleep deprivation.

 Philosophy

At Dream Masters, my philosophy is simple: a well-rested child equals a happy child. I understand that every family’s situation is unique, so I customise an approach to fit your family’s individual needs and comfort levels. Using a client-led approach means that I meet you where you are, and work with you to get where you want to be. I  teach and empower families by providing a step-by-step plan for improving your child's sleep patterns. Ultimately, the goal is to help your child get more sleep and ensure everyone in the family gets the rest they need.
